I graduated in Biology at the University of Salento and gained experience first in various analysis laboratories and then at the Bari Polyclinic, in the Oncology department. I currently work in my private practice located in my hometown. I always keep up to date with courses and seminars and I recently wrote the book "the secrets for successful aging" in collaboration with other professionals in the sector. In this book I wanted to underline how important food quality is in adults and especially in the elderly, for whom the risk of cardiovascular diseases increases. The book presents a first theoretical part that underlines the importance of the Mediterranean diet and how it affects our health, and a second practical part with recipes. From the earliest years of university my curiosity towards the world of cooking was felt first and towards more "light" culinary experiments thereafter. Thanks to my studies and my growing passion for nutrition, I realized that eating with taste and healthy eating can be reconciled. But is it really worth not taking some time to devote to our health, to good habits, to perform an act of love for ourselves? I would say no. We do not always realize all the substances we consume and introduce into our body, ignoring what effect they will have on it. Simple gestures such as buying the best products at the supermarket, planning our meals, carefully preparing breakfast, become of great importance to keep us fit and healthy!
